Foundation line below grade waterproofing:

Many commercial and residential buildings have performing exterior land escaping that raise up grade about the foundation label exposing it to water penetration. Unfortunately a proper water drain system is not installed in most cases and/or the contractor has not being taking in consideration this very important factor that causes major water damage to the building, not to mention all the secondary consequences like mold, flooding and many other liability issues.

 

Solution:

Ontario Crack Repair Ltd. Will provide an adequate solution determined by the current conditions affecting the building and the accessibility to perform the work.  A visual and instrumental jobsite accessibility is required in order to provide the right solution, this can be a single draining system installation or a combined draining system installation (as required)

 

·         Access the area by exposing the foundation line

·         Waterproof the foundation/building joint

·         Waterproof exposed foundation wall

·         Installation of a composite wall drainage membrane

·         Installation of drain system (connected to the existing exterior water control system, window wells, draining system and weeping tile) or create a water control system. (French drain and Sump-Pump as required) This system (French Drain) will be installed 2 to 3 feet below the foundation line; other solution will depend on accessibility, please note that that each job is unique with its own requirements.

·         Backfill with gravel to ensure drainage into the installed water control system

·         Finishing and land escaping are extra and is available upon request.
